THEME: Divine Backing by Covenant Assurance

PRECHER : Rev. Canon Gideon Genka

    TEXT: Deuteronomy 7 vs 9

One of the greatest Confidence in the life of a believer is the Covenant he or she has with God.
When God enters into a covenant with a man he ties his name, integrity and reputation.
Our Circumstances can never change God’s words over our lives for he is bound by his word.
He Remembers his covenant, he will never forget his people but
    Human promises will fail
because they are based on emotions .
    God’s Faithfulness means three things

    • He cannot lie numbers 23 vs 19
God is not a man, that he should lie neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
      Titus 1vs2
    • He Does not forget
      Isaiah 49 vs 15
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
      Though she may forget,
      I will not forget you!
      Hebrew 6 vs10
    • He Does not fail.
      Joshua 21 vs 45
Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass. Conclusion
    • Covenant assurance produces stability in the midst of crisis.
    • Covenant assurance brings generational blessings.
    • Covenant provides Divine Marking and it removes fear.

    PREACHER: Rev. Canon Samuel Ali

    TOPIC: Helping hands

    TEXT: Exodus 17:1-13

Helping hands means giving support, assistance, or practical aid to someone who needs help.
Helping hands in the church are very important. The leader of a unit can not do the work of everyone.
Where has God placed you as a helping hand?
Are you doing your role as a helping hand?

    Who are our helping hands:

    • Our children
    • Members of the family
    • Committees in the church
We are not put here for ourselves but we are placed here for others

    Benefits of helping hands:

    • Makes work to be done faster
    • Reduces stress and tiredness
    • Brings encouragement to the person being helped
    • Helps you to grow in gratitude to God for using you and for helping you
    • Brings joy to you and the person you have helped
    • Brings progress.

What makes people not to look for help:
    i) Pride
    ii) Betrayals

Peace is a reward for helping hands. The helper and the person being helped will enjoy peace.

The spirit of God is the only one that can help us to be helping hands.
May you never lack the hands to help others in Jesus name, amen!!!

TOPIC: Look up to Jesus and live

    TEXT: Num. 21:8-9

After Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt, they found themselves in the wilderness and they began to murmur and speak against Moses. God was angry at them and sent serpents to them, but the Israelites repented and cried out to God. He instructed Moses to make a bronze snake, that whoever looked at it, lived.
God always looks for a way to reconcile us back to Him whenever we go astray.
Jesus has been given to us that as many that will look to him will be saved.

Why should we look to Jesus?

    • To have eternal life
    • He is the only way to God (John. 14:6).
    • There is no other name given amongst men whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
It is not God’s will that we should perish.

Why people find it hard to look up to Jesus:
    Fear of rejection from people.

The power of salvation belongs to as many that accept Christ and look up to Him.
Every stronghold on your life is broken as you accept Christ today in Jesus name, amen!!!
