Advent Sunday First Service Sermon 30/11/2025

Introduction: Advent means ‘the coming or arrival’. God came to humanity to serve humanity. Advent serves dual purpose in reminding us when He came as a baby and when He will come in glory.
What do we do then: i. Deepen our worship
    ii. Serve others in love
iii. Proclaim our faith in the Lord.

In caring for the clergy, this is a subject that is both biblical and necessary. It entails the care of God’s servant, the ministers and all those that labour amongst them.
This is not a message of human opinion, not a plea of personal interest but it is a message rooted in scripture and it is essential for the health of the church.

The first part of Paul’s message shows that 1. Spiritual instruction deserves spiritual gratitude.
“Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches.” (Gal.6:6)
Sharing all “good things” means giving practical assistance, money, material things, honor, prayer and encouragement.

    1. Sowing spiritual seeds, calling for material support.
Paul asked a rhetorical question “If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it too much to reap material things from you?”
This calls for the principle of reciprocity: Those who sow should not reap in vain.
    2. Caring for clergy is not man’s idea. Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.(1Tim.5:17-18)
When a pastor struggles financially or emotionally, ministry becomes harder.

Why we should support the clergy:

    • It prevents discouragement and weariness.
    • It honors the work. Supporting ministers honors God and the work He sent us to do on earth.
    • The church flourishes. He teaches with clarity, he leads with joy and shepherds with compassion.

Action point: Defend, encourage and pray for ministers of the gospel

Conclusion: It is not about enriching ministers, it is about reliving them from worry so that they can focus on souls.

  • Mattins Service Sermon 23/11/2025

    Mattins Service Sermon 23/11/2025

Everything on earth has a set time. There is a set time for blessings, but when we feel like the time is lingering we begin to fear.
Matt.24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
When God makes a pronouncement it will surely come to pass.
In Gen.17:16-17 God said He will bless Sarah’s womb and Abraham laughed just like Sarah did in chapter 18:10-15.
God is consistent in everything and at the appointed time He will bypass protocols.
Trust in God because His word is who He is.

For us to achieve all these we must

    • Understand that God works in mysterious ways
    • God proves Himself at the appointed time
    • Believe in God and His promises
    • Keep calm

Trust in God and you will enjoy your appointed blessings in Jesus name, Amen!!!

  • Mattins Service Sermon 16/11/2025

    Mattins Service Sermon 16/11/2025

Introduction: One of the greatest pleasures in a Christian’s life is the ability to praise God. The Lord is God in the good time and also God in the bad times.
The Psalm 89 tells us that praise is not dependent on circumstances but rooted in God’s character.

Nathan the psalmist reminds us of 2 unchanging attributes of God:

    1. The mercies of God
    2. The faithfulness of God.
By God’s mercies we are not consumed and of His faithfulness we have been restored.

    Lessons from the Psalm 89:1
    i. Declaration of praise: Praise is a choice and act of the will. The Psalmist said “I will sing”. Whether in good or bad, he showed intentionality.
Worship is not determined by feelings but by faith.

    • Praise is a choice anchored in conviction not convenience.
    • Praise is a testimony that God is in control. When we sing in difficult times we declare to our soul that God is still God and He is unshaken.

ii. The content of our praise: Praise has a content and the content of the Psalmist praise is “the mercies of the Lord endures forever”.

    • It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed because every morning He renews His mercies towards us.
    • The mercies of God are eternal. Human mercy fades but God’s mercy is forever.
    • Every miracle, every teaching, every act of compassion is the mercy of God.
Ps.23:6a “surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life”.

Praise is not silent admiration but a vocal proclamation with your mouth. It silences the enemy and strengthens the church.

Conclusion: Be practical in your approach

    • Choose to praise God daily
    • Cultivate the habit of thanking God.
    • Keep a record of God’s mercies.
    • Remember what God has done.
    • Speak of God’s faithfulness daily. Don’t be ashamed
    • Mentor the younger generation. Let every generation hear that the Lord is good.

As you testify and inspire somebody today, may God’s mercy and faithfulness continue to be evident in your life in Jesus name, amen!!!

Sunday 9th November 2025Adult/General Harvest Thanksgiving service

    Introduction
Apostle Paul from Prison wrote a letter to the Philippines encouraging them to forget the things which are behind and reach forth unto those ahead.
Form the passage in verse 14 “I press on towards the goal ” It is clear that God is calling you to a personal commitment to him setting back everything of the past and creating new goals that lead us nearer to him.
Pressing is a personal determinate pursuit and Without a goal we won’t know where to go.
When you press on you forget the past and move then when you look back and see how the lord has blessed you and be grateful to him.
    How do we press

    • Yield to the lord daily
    • Stewardship
The lord wants you to be committed to him serving him tirelessly and cheerfully. Conclusion
    • Give as you are Blessed
    • Don’t give at a lower level
    • Give sacrificially
    • Give what you have do not give to impress anyone
    • Give yourself first to the lord.

  • GOD OF WONDERS 2025, DAY 4 08/11/2025

    GOD OF WONDERS 2025, DAY 4 08/11/2025

The goal in Phillipians 3 is about making heaven at last.
The goal in John 9:4 is about winning souls on earth. The primary reason why Jesus came down to earth is for soul winning.

Different ways Jesus evangelized back in the days:

    • Lifestyle evangelism: Living the life of Christ without actually preaching it.
    • Welfare evangelism: This involves catering for the welfare of people. Jesus fed the multitudes without complaining.
    • Power evangelism: Jesus ministered by performing miracles through faith. The Bible made us know that the manifestation of power is the most remarkable evangelism of them all.
Simon the sorcerer, a renowned sorcerer from the Bible who pulled influence because of his exploits saw the heavier manifestation of Paul the disciple and he surrendered to God because no power is greater than the power of the Lord Almighty. (Acts 5:12-26)
There is difference between noise and manifestation of power. Power doesn’t talk too much.
In Acts 3:1-8 Peter demonstrated this power at the beautiful gate. There are people who never believe the gospel until they see the manifestation of power. From that one act alone, 5000 people surrendered their lives to Christ (Acts 4:4).
May the power of God be evident in your life in Jesus name, amen!!!

  • GOD OF WONDERS 2025, Day 2 06/11/2025

    GOD OF WONDERS 2025, Day 2 06/11/2025

Introduction: Whenever you hear the word of God, look for the promises. In every scripture the principles of God is revealed.
In our basic scripture Paul said “one thing i do” but he mentioned two things:
    i. forgetting those things which are behind and
ii. Reaching out to the things which are before.
    Yesterday is in the past.
Paul might have had some ugly past just like all of us.
There are people that cannot move on from their past because it keeps hunting them.
He that the son of man has set free is free indeed (John 8:26).

Dangers of dwelling on the negative past:

    • There is always fear
    • There is always discouragement
    • There is depression
Both success and failure can be used as an instrument by the devil to destroy a child of God. Don’t be carried away. Take heed lest you fall (1 Corinths 10:12).

When you dwell so much on your positive past:

    • Pride will set it. Pride is an enemy of God. More often than not, pride creeps in little by little without our conscious awareness.
    • Overconfidence. This makes you to feel like there is no one better than you. He works in us to will and to do according to His good pleasure (Philip.2:13)
    • Indiscipline. You begin to disrespect people.

    Conclusion:
Don’t be a prisoner of the past. Keep pressing towards the goal which is heaven.
    God bless you!!!

  • Holy Communion/Covenant Renewal Sermon 2/11/2025

    Holy Communion/Covenant Renewal Sermon 2/11/2025

Our God continues to demonstrate that indeed He is the God of wonder.
The Psalmist declared “thou art the God that do wonders; thou hath declared your strength amongst the people”

Let’s explore 3 aspects of the wonders of God:

    • The wonders of God is sovereign power.
God showed the sovereignty of His power in Genesis 11 when He redirected human history.
Never build a name for yourself.
Sometimes God’s wonders are not in what He gives but what He stops from coming to you.
At anytime we see our strength in anything, we put God aside. Allow God show His awesome wonders in your life.
    • The wonders of God is life-giving power.
Jesus revealed that He is the resurrection and the life.
God brings hope out of hopelessness, where every humanity ends that is where divinity begins.
Even though He seems to delay, trust His promise in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end”.
    • The wonders of God is limitless ability.
      His powers surpasses imagination
He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think (Eph.3:20)
The same God who was, is still and ever will be.
Remember that He is able, He is sovereign and He can do wonders.
