Sunday 9th November 2025Adult/General Harvest Thanksgiving service

    Introduction
Apostle Paul from Prison wrote a letter to the Philippines encouraging them to forget the things which are behind and reach forth unto those ahead.
Form the passage in verse 14 “I press on towards the goal ” It is clear that God is calling you to a personal commitment to him setting back everything of the past and creating new goals that lead us nearer to him.
Pressing is a personal determinate pursuit and Without a goal we won’t know where to go.
When you press on you forget the past and move then when you look back and see how the lord has blessed you and be grateful to him.
    How do we press

    • Yield to the lord daily
    • Stewardship
The lord wants you to be committed to him serving him tirelessly and cheerfully. Conclusion
    • Give as you are Blessed
    • Don’t give at a lower level
    • Give sacrificially
    • Give what you have do not give to impress anyone
    • Give yourself first to the lord.

  • Holy Communion/Covenant Renewal Sermon 2/11/2025

    Holy Communion/Covenant Renewal Sermon 2/11/2025

Our God continues to demonstrate that indeed He is the God of wonder.
The Psalmist declared “thou art the God that do wonders; thou hath declared your strength amongst the people”

Let’s explore 3 aspects of the wonders of God:

    • The wonders of God is sovereign power.
God showed the sovereignty of His power in Genesis 11 when He redirected human history.
Never build a name for yourself.
Sometimes God’s wonders are not in what He gives but what He stops from coming to you.
At anytime we see our strength in anything, we put God aside. Allow God show His awesome wonders in your life.
    • The wonders of God is life-giving power.
Jesus revealed that He is the resurrection and the life.
God brings hope out of hopelessness, where every humanity ends that is where divinity begins.
Even though He seems to delay, trust His promise in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end”.
    • The wonders of God is limitless ability.
      His powers surpasses imagination
He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think (Eph.3:20)
The same God who was, is still and ever will be.
Remember that He is able, He is sovereign and He can do wonders.

    GROUP HARVEST SERMON 26/10/2025

“I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”(Philip.3:14).
Paul said no matter what he had achieved in life, no matter how much success he had in life, he always puts them all behind. This is not because he is not grateful but he wants to remain focused. He knows that the success of today can stop you from getting the success of tomorrow.
He is simply saying I am grateful for what I have achieved and attained but I am not yet the best of who I am meant to be.
There is always more to God. Harvest is a time of recognizing how far you’ve come and without God all our efforts will amount to nothing.
A child of God understands that harvest is the result of his visible effort backed with God’s invisible effort.
In harvest we acknowledge God’s part in our success.

    Conclusion:
Today, we are encouraged to appreciate God from the depth of our hearts and learn to count our blessings one by one.

  • HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE SERMON 5/10/2025

    HOLY COMMUNION SERVICE SERMON 5/10/2025

Introduction: Love is the essence of our relationship, it should be seen in our daily activities and it should be shown physically.
Love must be transmitted and not just professed.
Matthew 22:36-40 explains that the love of God comes first because it is the root of our existence.
    True love casts out fear.
Our love for God is seen in our love for each other and when we love God fully we joyfully obey Him and enjoy each other.

    Essence of God’s love:
    i. God’s love is a love that hears: Gods love listens
ii. God’s love lifts; redeems, reposition and restores us.
iii. God’s love inspires praise: He puts a new song in your mouth.
iv. God’s love provokes a testimony; many will see and hear and put their trust in God.

    Characteristics of God’s settlement:

    • Settlement begins with waiting on God.
God’s timing is better than our deadlines
    • God’s settlement brings deliverance Ps. 34:17 “the righteous cry, and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles”
    • God’s settlement establishes; He orders our steps, perfects and strengthens us (1 Peter 5:10)
    • Settlement produces a new song: Every divine intervention births praises.

Conclusion: In the midst of waiting, grow in love and see yourself how God sees you.
Behind every Goliath is a crown of honor.
Don’t give up on God because He would not give up on you.

  • YOUTH HARVEST THANKSGIVING SERMON28/09/2025

    YOUTH HARVEST THANKSGIVING SERMON28/09/2025

    Introduction:

Harvest is another Christmas in the Anglican Communion because we acknowledge that the ultimate source of strength and power is God.
God is the source, men are the resources.
The Psalmist asked “where does my help come from?”
The answer is in vs 2: my help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.
Vs 4 highlights God’s watchfulness over us. He is ever present in our situations.
Vs 6 explains how He protects us round the clock.
Vs 8 assures that the Lord preserves His own till the end.
Any man who knows the source will stand firm with God. To stand means to have faith, to trust solely on God.
This passage stirs up trust in individuals that we are eternally watched, protected and preserved by our maker.

    Conclusion:

    – Acknowledge that you need help and go to the right channel
    – Trust that all that you need will be taken care of and you will not be
disappointed in the name of Jesus, amen!!!

COMBINED/ DIOCESAN CLERGY EXCHANGE OF PULPIT SERMON

Having the understanding in us that we live and move by the grace of God will give us a sense of submission to God. It will inform us on how to serve the almighty God.
Belshazzar knew how God humbled his father but he didn’t note the lessons from his father’s experience.
He went ahead to challenge God because he felt he was now in authority. He had no fear nor respect for God (Ps.50:7-16).
Take a deep pause and reflect on how similar your life is with Belshazzar. You might not use the communion cup to defile God but how does your actions and service (or lack of it) defile God.
Corruption and demonic activities have taken over our society today.
In 1Tim.1:12 Paul told Timothy that it is only the mercy and grace of God that let him be who he is now. If Belshazzar had acknowledged God’s grace he wouldn’t have ended up the way he did.
Conclusion: Turn away from the life of sin you are living now. God has a standard of justice.

The power of tongue can condemn you and can also give you salvation. Choose wisely!!!

  • HOLY COMMUNION/COVENANT RENEWAL SERVICE SERMON

    HOLY COMMUNION/COVENANT RENEWAL SERVICE SERMON

Introduction: In the midst of all the situations we face, one question that comes to mind is “where is God”?
We tend to seek for answers to the numerous questions we have.
    Moses asked similar questions

    1. Moses questioned who he was. (Exo.3:10)
Most of us have this identity crisis, but God assures us that He does not look for the qualified but He calls and qualifies the unqualified.
    2. Moses asked “who are you?”
God said “I am that I am”. From North to south He is God, from East to west He is the same God.
    3. Moses asked “what if they don’t listen”?
He was worried about people’s reaction.
The enemy blackmails people emotionally and makes them lose out on their blessings.

When Paul was writing to the church in Romans 8:28 “We know that in everything God works for good with those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose“
He explained that no matter what situation we find ourselves in, God is still the same.

What does I Am that I Am mean:

    • It means that God depends on no one to do anything. He is self-existent; He does not need a man to be who He is.
    • He is unchanging
    • He is ever present
    • He is all sufficient: Whatever we need, He is the solution.

Conclusion: Trust God daily and walk in His purpose because He is the surest plug. Salem!
